If you want a forceful volume of water for flushing directly from your water supply system instead of that from storage tank, you need to connect a pressure-flush valve toilet to a pipe which is larger than usual, about 1 to 1.5 inches in diameter. There are three mechanisms in a pressure valve toilet. It includes a built-in stop value needed to shut the water off quickly during emergencies, the valve itself and the handle assembly. the stop valves and the handles are the same with all toilets. However, there are tow different types of pressure valves. One of them employs a disphragm mechanism while the other, the piston. These two types can easily be identified with their outside profile.
The diaphragm valve is recognized by its rounded cover which is one-piece and is nearly twice as large as the leading pipe. The piston valve cover is slightly larger than that pipe which contains the valve. Because some parts that are made by different manufacturers were not interchangeable, take note about the name of the maker. It is usually stamped clearly on top of the device, which is the pressure valve. The flow rate of diaphragm valve will be regulated with adjusting its stop valve. The diaphragm valve automatically regulates the flush cycle’s duration.
